Homemade Gift Ideas

I'm not usually one to toot my own horn BUT... I am an awesome gift giver! I have a great eye for gifts and I am great at surprising people with cool things. I think the trick to this little talent of mine is that I am good listener, I pay attention to the little details and hints that people give away about themselves, and I never give something that I would not use/like myself. I have gotten big returns in the form of compliments from gifts that I have given in the past. Like one year, I surprised my husband with a trip to drive a real NASCAR and this year I got my Mom a Kindle for her birthday. I am also a huge fan of all things involving photo gifts.

Buying a big expensive gift for someone you love makes them and you feel great however I am beginning to see that you don't necessarily have to go all out to put a smile on someone's face. Here are some really cool and inexpensive gift ideas I have found on Pinterest lately that I think would make great homemade gifts for my little girls and nieces for Christmas.

DIY puppet Theatre - How many hours of fun could my girls have with this?

Little Mermaid Clothespin Dolls -This is a Disney Family idea and would be fun for any Little Mermaid fan!

Tulle Fairy Wand -This is such a cute and easy idea! I am going to make Monkey one with Red, Yellow, and Blue to go with the Snow White costume I got on clearance after Halloween.

Personal ABC Book - I have already made one of these for Monkey. I went the easy route and chose a  photo book from Shutterfly that already had the ABC theme. It is adorable, will last forever, and was really easy to do. This gift was made even sweeter by a photobook deal I received via email that made it free. All I paid was shipping costs!

Socktopuses - These will be a great gift for my sweet Baby Red. Cuddly, chew worthy, and fun to look at :)

So what do you plan to make with your heart instead of fetch from the cart this Holiday season?
